Vedanta plans $372 million Zambia IPO

Tracy Shuchart, independent trader and strategist, reports that Vedanta Resources Ltd. intends to raise about $372 million through the sale of an 11.9% stake in its U.S.-based unit to support development of its Zambian copper mining complex.

The unit, CopperTech Metals Inc., announced plans for the offering on Tuesday.

Shuchart has recently highlighted risks of crude oil quality degradation in the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve as storage levels fall, referencing concerns raised by ExxonMobil in 2023. She also drew attention to market anticipation around Warsh's first statement at the Federal Open Market Committee’s upcoming June 17 FOMC meeting. Both updates reflect her ongoing coverage of key resource and policy developments.
