Supertanker off U.S. Texas carried Aramco oil

A supertanker that was hacked and lost its engines off the coast of Texas was transporting oil for Saudi Aramco's American refinery, according to information reported by Mario Nawfal. Bloomberg customs data shows that about half of the 2 million barrels on the VL Prosperity were purchased by Motiva, Saudi Aramco's wholly owned Port Arthur refinery in the U.S.

Nawfal has previously reported on economic risks tied to oil markets. He relayed a warning that Iran's economy could collapse within two weeks as oil deliveries to China conclude. In a separate report, Nawfal revealed that a California executive lost over $100 million in risky financial bets before being found dead with his wife.
