Trung Nguyen is a Vietnamese entrepreneur, software engineer, and key figure in the blockchain gaming industry. Born in 1992 in Vietnam, Trung developed a passion for gaming and programming early on. He studied at the High School for the Gifted in Mathematics and Information Technology in Hanoi, and later pursued Software Engineering at FPT University. Before founding Sky Mavis, Trung co-founded Lozi in 2012, a popular social network for food bloggers in Vietnam, which garnered millions of users and significant investment. He left Lozi to work at Anduin Technologies, a fintech startup, where he honed his engineering skills. Trung's interest in blockchain gaming was sparked by CryptoKitties in 2017. Recognizing the potential of combining blockchain and gaming, he co-founded Sky Mavis in 2018 and led the creation of Axie Infinity, a blockchain-based game where players collect, breed, and trade digital pets called Axies.
