Bicara Therapeutics Inc. released updated data showing durable responses at three years from its Phase 1/1b study evaluating ficerafusp alfa combined with pembrolizumab as a first line treatment for HPV negative recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
The company said that in approximately 90 patients across all three doses, deep initial responses were sustained and translated into durable long term outcomes, according to their latest dataset. This extended follow up provides evidence of potential clinical benefit in this hard to treat patient population.
Bicara previously announced deep and durable responses for ficerafusp alfa plus pembrolizumab in HPV negative HNSCC, according to a prior update. The company is also scheduled to present its first quarter 2026 financial results and a business update on May 11 via public webcast, as stated in a recent announcement. These developments follow continuing progress in its first line treatment programs.
