Blink Charging powers Maryland EV push

Blink Charging is set to accelerate the development of Maryland's electric vehicle infrastructure as the state launches the NEVI Round 3 program. Up to 10 million dollars in federal funding will be used to expand high-performance DC fast-charging stations along critical transportation corridors.

The initiative mandates the installation of fast chargers with at least 150 kilowatts of capacity, aiming to improve accessibility and network reliability for EV drivers. This move aligns with broader efforts to support the adoption of zero-emission vehicles in the U.S. and reduce transportation-related emissions.

Blink Charging has recently called on multifamily property owners to treat EV charging as a long-term asset as adoption rates rise, according to a company statement. The firm has also highlighted the role of key partnerships in scaling its charging network, with CEO Mike Battaglia promoting a simplified strategy in a previous announcement. These initiatives reflect ongoing efforts to expand Blink’s presence across diverse locations.
