Ouster partners with Seneca Systems to deliver Rev8 OS1 Max digital lidar for autonomous wildfire drones
Ouster Seneca drone lidar deal

Ouster has announced a partnership with Seneca Systems to integrate its Rev8 OS1 Max native color digital lidar sensor into Seneca Systems' autonomous drone platform designed for wildfire response.

The integration aims to enhance the performance of drones operating in difficult conditions such as smoke, dust, shifting terrain, and low visibility, which are common during wildfire events.

Ouster recently launched the Rev8 OS1 Max lidar sensor to support U.S. infrastructure and defense mapping, responding to increasing domestic sourcing requirements. The company previously introduced the Rev8 OSDome sensor with a 180-degree hemispherical view aimed at removing traditional blind spots in sensor coverage. These product developments have expanded Ouster's portfolio in advanced lidar technology.
