Mugafi and Avalanche plan $1B entertainment tokenization
Mugafi, an Indian AI-powered storytelling platform, plans to bring more than 1,000 entertainment projects — from films and anime to music and sports — onto the blockchain as RWA tokens with the help of Avalanche.
The initiative will be based on Mugafi’s current and upcoming projects. This summer, the studio released the film Kuberaa, which grossed over $15 million in theaters and is being distributed via Amazon Prime Video.
According to Mugafi, the company’s artificial intelligence systems, trained on thousands of scripts and narrative structures, help evaluate projects before they are brought onto the blockchain for funding. Aspiring writers are encouraged to try their hand at scriptwriting on the platform, and the most promising ideas are approved and financed by Mugafi.
The platform already unites more than 1,500 creators from India, North America, and other regions.
Goal: $1 billion in annual tokenization
Mugafi and Avalanche also stated that in the first phase they plan to fund entertainment projects worth more than $10 million, while their long-term goal is to exceed $1 billion per year in tokenized intellectual property financing.
Avalanche said the partnership with Mugafi is intended to demonstrate how its network can support large-scale issuance of real-world assets. Avalanche’s infrastructure will be used to fund, track, and distribute entertainment projects on the blockchain.
