The IRS is also emphasizing year-round tax planning, including the use of credits and deductions and the need for timely estimated tax payments. It says gig economy workers and entrepreneurs should also plan carefully, while businesses are encouraged to use digital tools such as the Business Tax Account, electronic filing options and secure messaging to handle tax matters more efficiently.
