Luke Gromen: Encourages responsible investing over gambling for young adults
Investing guidance for young adults

Luke Gromen, founder, president, macroeconomic analyst, investor at FFTT, LLC (Forest for the Trees), shared his approach to teaching his children about risk.

He discussed having open conversations with his three sons about the dangers of gambling and, when they turned 18, helping them set up online brokerage and BTC accounts. Gromen advised them to take risks in ways that can lead to positive outcomes over time, rather than favoring gambling where, as he noted, "the house" tends to win.

Gromen has previously argued that allowing gold prices to rise would support U.S. trade balance and weaken the dollar while potentially boosting Chinese consumption, as detailed in one of his earlier commentaries. He has also noted that gold historically outperforms major sectors during the late stages of U.S. capital expenditure cycles, as discussed in a separate analysis. These insights reflect his continued focus on macroeconomic trends and investment behavior.
